A story which happened 28 years back…We should never judge anyone on the basis of job or qualification. My experience!

Hi friends…today I’m back with a nostalgic story of my college days. I studied my diploma in Women’s Polytechnic-Nedupuzha in Thrissur district (WPT Thrissur). I was staying in the hostel, as my house was in Vadakkencherry in Palakkad district. I was enjoying my holidays during the Christmas season.

One day, I heard my calling bell ringing in the morning. I and mummy were there at home. I was so surprised when I opened the door. My dearest friend Aswathi was there in front of me. A good-looking man also was with her. I and my mummy were doubtful seeing them together.
Then he told us that, she came in his auto-rickshaw and since she was not aware of our house, he accompanied her to drop her at us. It was then that we both got relieved.

Then she told us what happened. Our vacation was postponed for few days due to some reasons. Aswathi didn’t know about this and she reached the college. For her, it was difficult to go back home and return in 2–3 days, as her house was in Changanacherry. So she took her father’s permission and came to my home. She had not come to my home before. She had a vague idea about the route. Phones were rare at that time. Even a land phone was not there at my home. So she took the help of that auto-rickshaw driver. Luckily he was aware of us and our home. As my house is a bit far from the road, he was helping to get her to reach home. That was the story behind :)

Still, we talk about this incident. The importance of this incident is that it happened 28 years back. No google maps or google assistants were there to help us. Few things I would love to say about this incident are,
1) Her courage to travel to such a new place alone.
2) Her father’s trust in her.
3) That auto driver’s sincerity.

The message I want to tell you all is, never judge anyone based on their educational qualification or their profession. It was not due to the high professional qualities that he did such a good thing to her. His parents, his heredity, or the circumstances in which he grew up made him do that. Good and bad people are common in society. We hear much bad news about great persons in society right? So never judge a person based on his or her qualification or profession. That auto driver taught me this great lesson. And I thought of sharing it with all of you.
